Editing many hosts

Change the same setting on many hosts at once.

Open Edit Hosts

• Select several hosts with ⌘-click, right-click one of them and choose Edit Hosts….
• Or right-click a group or environment and choose Edit Hosts… to edit all hosts in it.

Choose what to change

Every field has its own checkbox. Only the fields you check are changed; everything else stays as it is on each host.

You can change:

• group and environment
• username, port and sign-in method with its key or password
• identity: assign one, or remove it
• jump host
• tags and notes

The value you enter replaces the current one on every selected host. Names and addresses can’t be changed in bulk.

When you’re ready, click the Apply to button at the bottom of the form. It shows how many hosts will be updated.
