SFTP
Browsing servers
Browse and manage files on your servers, with two servers side by side.
Open SFTP
Right-click a host and choose Open SFTP. Select two hosts first to open both side by side. An SFTP tab has two panes: if you open one server, the other pane lets you pick a second one.
SFTP uses its own connection, so closing it never affects terminal sessions to the same server.
Find your way around
- Double-click a folder to open it. Use the path bar or the
..row to go up. Back and Forward revisit folders you’ve already opened. - Return or ⌘↓ opens a folder, ⌘↑ goes to the parent folder.
- Click the magnifying glass to filter the current folder by name.
- Sort by name, date, size or kind by clicking a column header.
Manage files
Use the Actions menu, the context menu or these shortcuts:
| ⇧⌘N | New folder |
| ⌘Return | Rename |
| ⌘⌫ | Delete, after confirmation. Folders are deleted with everything inside. |
| ⇧⌘I | Get Info and permissions |
To move files to and from your Mac, see Transfers.
