Terminal
Tabs, split panes and windows
Work with many servers at once in tabs, split panes and multiple windows.
Tabs
- ⌘T opens a new tab with a host picker. ⌘W closes the current tab.
- Drag tabs to reorder them. Duplicate a tab to open a fresh session to the same server.
- The arrow button next to the tabs shows all tabs in the window, with search.
Split panes
- ⌘R splits the current pane to the right, ⌘D splits it down. You can also right-click a pane.
- Right-click a host in the sidebar and choose Open in Split Right or Open in Split Down.
- Move between panes with ⌥⌘ and the arrow keys. Drag the divider to resize.
- Drag a pane onto the edge of another pane to rearrange them.
Windows
- ⌘N opens a new window.
- Drag a tab out of the window to give it its own window, or into another window to move it there.
- Window → Merge All Windows brings every tab back into one window.
Sessions stay connected while you move tabs and panes around.
