SFTP
Transfers
Copy files and whole folders between your Mac and your servers, or from one server to another.
Upload
Drag files or folders from Finder into an SFTP pane, or choose Actions → Upload.
Download
Drag items from an SFTP pane to Finder, or choose Actions → Download and pick where to save them.
Copy between servers
Open two different servers side by side. Drag a file or folder from one pane to the other, or use Copy To, then confirm with Copy. The data passes through your Mac.
Follow progress
Transfers run in the background with a progress bar and speed. To see the queue and finished transfers, open the inspector on the right with ⌘I and select the Transfers tab (⇅).
The list of finished transfers is cleared when you close the pane. Clearing it never deletes any files.
When something fails
- Choose Retry to send a failed or cancelled file again, or Retry Items for a folder: only the items that didn’t make it are sent.
- Files start over from the beginning. For uploads and downloads, Termbit asks you to pick the local folder again.
- If the connection drops, the pane reconnects on its own, but interrupted transfers don’t restart automatically. Retry them when you’re ready.
If files with the same names already exist, see Conflicts.
